email list

I will send periodic emails when there are cool new updates to this web site.

introduction

I have created this website to further the art and science of rudimental snare drumming. On this website, you will find a large collection of free snare drumming music. The variety of snare drum sheet music that is offered will attempt to cover all aspects of modern snare drumming; everything from basic techniques (velocity and Moeller strokes) to hybrid flam rudiments and stick tricks.

attention educators - Lesson Logs

Are you looking for a more effective way to communicate with your students and help them grow as musicians? If so, I would recommend checking out Lesson Logs. Lesson Logs is a new web based program designed primarily to track student practice and lessons. The program's many features include lesson logging, practice logging, student ranking, assigning grades, generating reports, and scheduling events. Go to the website to learn more!

snarescience sponsorship program

In an effort to support the advancement of rudimental drumming education, snarescience.com is offering a unique sponsorship program. Through this program, snarescience.com will provide practice mp3s (sound files normally available for purchase on the website) to the percussion instructor of the sponsored percussion group. The instructor will then be allowed to distribute the practice mp3s to the current members of the group. Please note that these sound files are not strictly designed for snare drummers. Tenor drummers and bass drummers alike can benefit from these practice mp3s.

If you are an instructor and are interested in this program, please download and complete the contract (word document) and contact me throught this website's contact form. Students: Please inform your instructors of this opportunity if you think it would benefit your line.
