Relationships are a waste of time. We're all young so go to the first party you hear about and go get a 1 night stand, all your problems will be solved :)
I like my girls how I like my coffee, cream and sugar and a big round ass.

oh okay. I think you should go man. Even if you don't dance, you could just hang out and chill with friends. I'll probably go to prom next year, but I just don't feel up to it this year.

Meh most of my friends aren't single, so it'd be a typical 9th wheel situation. Loads of fun...

In my opinion you wouldn't be missing anything. Prom sucks with a date..I really think it would without one

prom is so dumb-you pay money to stand around not dancing to crappy music like cattle, and spend a bunch of money on food and clothes for a girl who probably doesn't appreciate you anyways.

that being said, you should still go, sans girl. maybe you'll end up at a good party. and without spending a ton of money
I play and teach music (sometimes even band music!)

I work in music tech and licensing.

I didn't go to any school dances, except prom. Definitely go to prom. If you can't find a date just ask a friend to go, or go by yourself and freak on anything that moves. I have really fond memories of dancing with my GF all night. We both looked stupidly hot, and everyone was jelly. Prom is really fun if you ham it up and try to impress.

Anywho, back to reality. I'm kicking myself because I just started going out with this really cute/smart/awesome chemical engineering major, but I'm leaving for tour in four weeks. I always have the worst timing with these sorts of things.

They've sll grown up watching princess movies where the prince comes and sweeps the princess away. It's what probably happened to their mothers..it's just the way our culture has raised everyone to behave. It's starting to be less like that..but it'll be a while before that's extremely widespread.

Nut up and ask her out. (not to sound like too much of a *beep* haha)
