Vega,

As a Sinfonian myself, I would be painfully offended if you learned that handshake. You are not a member of Phi Mu Alpha. If you want to learn the grip (that's what it's actually called), please, when you get to college, pledge Phi Mu Alpha. If you were to make it through initiation, then you will have the privilege of learning the grip.

If your instructor were to show you the grip (and I seriously doubt that he would), I'd be even more offended.

There are some things in life that if you're not a member, you shouldn't have access to the secrets.

Well, I of course can't tell you everything, and it really depends on what the people are like in your chapter. If it's anything like my experience though, you're gonna make some great friends. If you didn't know already, it's geared towards men with an interest in music.

There is a Loooooong tradition of Sinfonian brotherhood still standing today.
When i was pledging i was stressed out becuase i just didnt think i could do it all at once. But i had a great group of guys help me along the way.
Later on i found that my former band director is Sinfonian as well.
