I'm not for or against tattoo's. What you choose to do to your body is your choice.

Remember this...a tattoo is forever. Sure, you can get it removed, but it's expensive and painful.

A friend of mine got a Mickey Mouse holding a pair of sticks when he was younger. He's now seeing the foolishness of that tattoo now that he's older and is having to spend thousands of dollars to get it removed, not to mention enduring the pain of the laser treatment.

If you're going to get a tattoo, pick out something you won't mind having when you're 40, 50, 60, 70, etc years old. If you get a "fad of the day" tattoo, you'll regret it down the road.

i have fairly large tattoos on my forearms, and one on my back. my only advice for anyone considering getting one is to wait until you know exactly what you want, and don't spare any expense on the labor. i started getting mine when i was 17, and i just went to someone i knew who would do it illegally instead of someone i knew was a good artist. i've had work done 9 times on 4 tattoos, just to illustrate how much i've had covered up/fixed. so far i have one drum corps tattoo, for the Bucs snareline. i plan on getting one each for Stars and X as well.
George Mason University 17
Cadets Winter Percussion 14,15,16
Carolina Crown 15,16
Cadets2 12,13,14
Rhythm X 11, 12
Blue Stars 2010
United Percussion 09, 10
Reading Buccaneers 2009
University of Delaware 08, 09, 10

I'm here because I like talking about drums...my opinions don't reflect any of the above ensembles.

If I wouldn't have messed up my back last summer, I SO would've got a Spirit Delta tattoo.

I don't like tattoos at all lol. I think they are just too regrettable. The girl i'm interested in has an extremely dumb tattoo. Its on her right side, on her like ribs and whatever. Kind of big. Its of mickey mouse...and it says forever young.

She loves mickey mouse though? Its her favorite stuffed animal. So it has meaning to her.

But i still think its incredibly dumb. And unattractive...

I have been drawing all my life, I am almost finished getting my degree in graphics design, and I have had an apprentice position waiting for me for two years, in SC you have to be 21 to tattoo (legally) i love every form of art but I don't like tattoos, I just do not get it, I can't think of anything I would want on my body for the rest of my life.

If I get a contract at Gateway at the next camp, I'm going to get the arch after the season is over on my ankle.

That's really neat. I've been playing for 10 years this Christmas and I'm not sure what I want to get for that.

He better make it. I really hope he makes it. He's hilarious. But I told him to get a Freedom tattoo.
