Dirty Drumline Poetry

Posted: Fri May 02, 2014 3:08 pm

On the ******* page I got into a conversation that resulted in my writing three dirty poems related to drumline, 2 limericks and 1 poem in (mostly) Shakespearean Iambic Bi- and Pentameter (ABABABCC format). Just thought I'd share, and encourage creative responses! :D Enjoy!

Our line once had a guy who played the bass,
And too we had a gal who played the snare.
Though he had a beautiful, comely face,
Her hideousness was without compare.
One might have thought he held her in disgrace,
But he loved her, and found her fine and fair.
While still on the line, they *beep* many times.
But this, we would find, was due to him, blind.

THis girl who, with cymbals, would crash,
Had a beautiful, finely shaped ***.
And while I marched snare,
at it I would stare...
As you see, I have little class.

There ya go lol. Pardon the profanity if you are easily offended.

I'm that guy who says he'll try out for drum corps next year and never does.
But I'm totally gonna try to march Alliance this summer.

Read it out loud. The pace, the inflection. I intend no sarcasm whatsoever when I say this is actually good poetry.

A friend of mine is an English teacher, and we trade poems every once and a while. Glad to know other people enjoy my work too.

I literally just realized for some reason my two limericks aren't even on this string. Lemme fix it lol.

Is one of the mods deleting my stuff? Because I've added two other poems multiple times and they keep disappearing.

I've taken them down both times as the language wasn't close to appropriate and there are younger kids that read these forums.

It wasn't just the one word, as one of the other ones, I just covered that word, but it was the phrase that caused it to be deleted.

Alright, just making sure I'm not crazy. I can just take this thread down if you want me to, I don't care. Sorry about that lol

Ohhhh, so I guess we're using a different definition of the word "dirty." That never crossed my mind. Well mine isn't too vulgar.
