We'll see. School's getting out soon for summer. (But that just means corps and camp season)

You know, there hasn't been a new video on the Snarescience Youtube channel in over a year.

Believe me when I say that I actually am bothered by this. I wanted to do some more QuadScience stuff this past spring, even mentioned it to Ryan, but unfortunately, as in most cases, life threw one curve ball after another and I had to focus on fixing the problems that kept arising. I really wanted to get some more material out there, and still have plans to, but it just didn't work out how I planned this time around.

I needed to use one of my cymbal stands for something. So I took off the crash cymbal that was on it at the time, and as the fool I am, I left it in the floor. (the more you know...) Alas, a few days later, I saw that it was inverted.

I tried placing it on the ground, my foot on the bell, top side down, and pulling up on the opposite edges. It didn't work. I also took it by the opposite edges and knocked it on my leg to try to re-invert it. Now, I'm either not strong enough or I'm not doing it correctly. I'm probably not putting enough force on it. I don't want to do anything stupid and end up cracking it, so what should I NOT do? Any pointers?

Don't step on it...I'd advise you to pop it back in on your knee by having the inverted side up, grip it on 2 sides with your thumbs on the bottom, then pull it into your knee. Pushing your knee into the open bell while pulling from the sides should cause the cymbal to pop back into place.
Ps:THIS WILL HURT YOUR KNEE AT FIRST....Just warning

I'm pulling it as hard as I physically can, but it's not budging. People sometimes jump on them... Could that work? Because I'm clearly not exerting enough force.

You might have to do that.

I haven't actually sat down (stood rather) and worked on cleaning my technique in a while. I was looking for something to break up my eigths/accent tap/sanford monotony and I came across the Egg-Beater Mission exercise. It's real fun to play.

So, I'm watching Drumline. Honestly, I've never seen the full movie since it's all crappy technique and crappy, dirty beats. But there is this one scene where they show snare music, but it's in treble clef, and there are flats and naturals. And I'm just like...*facepalm
