Actually, you need stick tape. And proofreading.

Really, you just need to have good ears.

I'm assuming you're with a line.

Spare sticks
Spare heads
Spare tape
A met (not necessary unless you can't hold a tempo on your own with a piar of sticks)
Earplugs are definitely a must- they cut out overtones and help to refine the line

2013: Spirit of Atlanta (Marimba)

-Key
-Hard copy of the book
-Met
-Sunglasses

Pad not needed. That's what drums are for when teching.

Duct tape can also be used to forcefully fix a chicken winging problem. 8)

In the three years of marching band that I've been through, I've only seen our caption head without a mountain dew one time. That was the worst night of practice I've ever had haha

Because every school keeps spare Kevlar on hand. Most people go through one set of Kevlar Batter side heads a week..... (just playing)

My typical Bag:
-Laptop w/ Sibelius
-Two pairs of snare sticks
-Tenor sticks (Im a tenor guy)
-A metronome
-Black Binder with Sheet music/scores/Warmups/Attendance Roster
-A roll of white electrical tape
-Baffles (expensive ear plugs)
-A pair of wrist bands
-A pair of socks
-Either tennis shoes or Flip flops (whichever I am not wearing)
-Practice Pad (or two) in case one of my kids doesnt have theirs
-I usually carry the long ranger with me (Wont fit in my bookbag)
-A snack to eat in front of the kids to assert my authority....
-My chops
-Intolerance for SUCKAGE
-Ability to fix the suckage when it occurs and the ability to fight the innevitable dissappointment.

That is just me.
