Doug, we have another Sunday rehearsal this week but I would be free early afternoon on Monday. Let me know if this works for anyone else.

Hey guys, new to this forum, but I'd love to get in on the discussions. Got a young drumline that is in their third season of competition in the indoor scene and would love to get input from others guys who have maybe gotten further than my guys. What do I need to do to get into the discussions?

Would love to, but it would have to be pretty late EST. I'm gigging until 10.

Awesome. With Bill & James on CST, is 9EST/8CST good?

I don't want to start too much later than that, because I get up at the wonderful time of 5:15 every morning.

Works for me. Hopefully some other people will show up this time.

Oh, and I'm sure I'll forget, as usual. James, shoot me a text or FB message to remind me. :)

Hey guys. I've been teaching for 5 years now, with the past two as caption head at my current gig. I'd love to get in on these discussions if you'll allow me!

We had a great chat last night. We discussed WGI Championships, especially PIW. We talked about WGI adjudication, the many challenges and benefits of working with electronics in marching band and indoor drumline, and the usual DCI gossip. We had 5 people in the chat who are all from different parts of the country. It was pretty awesome!

I think it might be a good idea to get one of these in per month. That way everyone can make time for it. We always end up chatting longer than planned anyway. Memorial Day is a month from today, so maybe Sunday, May 19th, Monday, May 27th (Memorial Day), or Sunday, June 2nd. We'll figure out which day is better as we get closer.

After that, I was thinking about doing something in the end of June when I know at least two of us will be at the MFA Drum Instructor Academy. When Jim and I get the full details of the MFA schedule, we'll figure something out.

We should try and get another one in before people head off to the fantasy land of drum corps all-days.

Let's do another video chat this Sunday (08/25) at the usual time: 9PM Eastern. We can wrap up the DCI season and discuss what we are doing to get our drumlines ready for fall marching band season.

Added you. I'm not quite sure how any of this works, though. I do have snare sectionals tonight from 7 to 8 (central time).

Hey guys, I am feeling sick today and do not feel up for doing the video chat. Next weekend is Labor Day, so maybe we can do the Sunday after that.

You will get an invite via Gmail and a G+ alert as soon as the video chat is set up. However, like I said above, we'll have to do it 2 weeks from today.

I hope everybody had a great 3-day weekend for Labor Day. Let's finally get this long overdue video chat in this Sunday.

If you are new, add me on G+ at the link above. If you want to double check that I have you added correctly, PM me on SnareScience with your name as it appears on your G+ profile, and I will be sure that you are added to the circle. You will get a Gmail and/or G+ notification when the chat begins (9PM ET on Sunday).
