DCI/WGI Music Transcription Requests

Posted: Mon Jul 14, 2008 2:34 pm

This thread should be treated as a request thread only. Actual transcriptions should be posted in the Transcription Library.

I think the fifth measure is 9-lets. Other than that, good work man.

Yeah, my friend pointed out that bar was wrong also. He figured out it was a 9/8 bar. Just look for the pdf's in the "snare breaks" section of the site once Ryan puts them up.

if any moderaters read this, you guys should make it. =)

That'd be kind of pointless because there's already a snare break section on the home page, . I just made this thread because I wanted to get the music out to everyone faster and I'll admit, I wanted people to praise my work  . But sure, anyone is welcome to post their transcribed music if they'd like.

pearltenors, I wish I could fully understand what you were saying, but I don't unfortunately. What I am getting from your post though is that rcc music is boring. No flame war here but I'll tell you this, if you don't like what you see, please, keep it to yourself.

That's actually been done a couple of times lol but since your almost done you might as well keep going, you seem to want to do it regardless anyway.

It's pretty awesome that you did this, I love RCC's music. Sometimes even more than DCI books. :o

It's a cool 60-sec, but I don't think it really should be called Ditty, lol. Should just have a name of it's own.

I've thought about transcribing it, but there's no clear video of just the snares playing it.

Is that really the title? Has someone from the BD org come on to the site and specifically say that's the title. I thought we were all calling it that cause it sounds like ditty and they say remix in the middle of it? Anyway, who really gives a crap about the spelling of it?

The video on Promark's website got changed from Diddy to Ditty Remix so I'm pretty sure.

I'm so close to finishing it, I'm just completely stuck on the section at around 1:37 in this video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L37x6nfKoQ4&feature=user ) . No where can I find a clear enough view of the snares on that part. If anyone would like to help me with that section, feel free to do so! I'd appreciate it!

Like gaffoo said, who cares what it's called, lol.

blue devils lick from last year, from the ghosted accelerando to the tom rack feature in the closer. there's a few errors, but it's right for the most part.

the empty noteheads are ghosts btw

the rest of SCV's drum break from last year is up next

I have zero Finale skills, so my contributions are going to be au naturel...

Madison's 1997 snare break...a classic beefy chunk from the Jeff Moore days.

2004 Phantom snare break from the drum solo

I don't know what these time signatures actually are, so I just put it all in 4/4.
