Had a competition and we added in some stuff from party rock anthem(I was inspired by the ohio bands rendition) half way through, we have a dead silence on the field so we all said "Now Stop, hating is bad" and started shuffling. Most fun I have ever had on the field. And coming in first as a percussion section wasn't bad either.

"Got milk? HELL YA!!!!!"
"Skinny jeans?"
"Steak!"
we did say "Girl put that thing away!" but the whole brass section started yelling it and the judge at a contest herd it and was not too thrilled.

lets see...

this year we have :
- GMFQ - our tenor line slogan right before their solo in first song
- Boom Chaka-laka Boom chaka-laka BOOM (happens right before our last big closing part in the opener. It is in 6/4 and the BOOM happens on the first attack)
- snares use CMFC throwing props to Carolina Crown in 3rd song
- our tradition of yelling "Hot Karl" is in third song.
- we have the traditional "Let us Win" riff in the rallentando part of the closer
- at the end of the show we yell "It Burns" as we do the closing visual

...more will evolve as the season goes I am sure...

We have a part in a cadence where snares only play buzzes on 2 and 4 for 4 bars, so we added, "boats 'n' hoes, boats 'n' hoes, gotta have me my boats 'n' hoes."

The snares have this part were there are all sorts of weird amounts of rests
First rest: Get it on
Second rest: Dumb *shot*
Third rest: Trojan Man

My senior year of high school had some good ones.

"Bears. Beats. Battlestar Gallatica."

"WHERE ARE THE TURTLES?"

"I'm gonna lose MY FREAKIN MIND."

"Did I stutter?"

It's quite easy to see what show inspired our drumline

My kids come up with strange ones:

"Rice!" with an obligatory peace-sign and squinty eyes
"Rocket Ship Go Boom!" no idea
"What are they selling?!? Chocolate!" from Spongebob Squarepants
"Open, Insert, Wet, Unnnhhhh..." right in the opening of the ballad
"SWAG!!!" both lines do it... I hate it

The staff has also labeled parts of the show:

F is "Dead Puppy"
- it opened with a cold attack and is ALWAYS nasty... we told the, every time they played it dirty, God kills a puppy
L is "Dead Puppy 2: Return of the Dead Puppy"
- nasty triplet roll that is a straight crap-shoot
G is "Puppy Grinder"
- same idea... God has killed a lot of puppies this season

bwahahaha, when we had our tech over the summer mini-camp, he would call out the letters of the exercise as words that started with the section letters but the letters were silent. xD confused so many of the members that didn't have good vocabularies.
