MS4s are good... but I'm scared that if I use them on an actual drum, I'll need a new head. They're like freaking tree trunks

They have and ms4? wtf? i only thought there were 1 and 2's?
Proof.... http://www.vicfirth.com/product/buynow/ ... button=MS4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I do love me some ms4's.....I've never taped them, because they're so pretty without it, lol. If I get another pair I probably will though...

I used them with a kit snare (aquarian z100 head) for a snare solo and all was fine. So, i think that you'll be quite fine with using them on a marching drum, lol....

Those feel, when untaped, the way I want a TAPED pair of sticks to feel! They're like bamboo rods!

I love em though. One of the few Vic Firth sticks I still like.

shouldnt this technically be called the "what's your favorite stick" thread??????????

as far as what's the best stick i think it highly depends on the feel and sound you want. I dont think any stick is better than the other because they all were made to do something different. make sense?

I have come to the conclusion that vic firth sticks just suck in quality. The sticks feel great for a little bit. I have found that every single one of my pairs of vic firth sticks have either came dead or died extremely fast. /Rant

ok i tried beddises last week, and they are the bomb. they rebound well, but feel punchy when used. i can't wait to use them on a drum. it just feels like i have lots of power behind my playing when i use them.

I gotta go with the ssj's or now the ms-5's. they just have a weight distribution that I really like, and I live vics sticks the best. Although i have not tried the dc 50's yet, and i really want to.
