Your own hybrid

Posted: Mon Jun 22, 2009 1:29 pm

I was just thinkin about this. I see all of these rudimental hybrids from many legends but I was wondering if any of you guys have any that you've made. 1 of mine that I made up is called "Titie Twister" There sixtuplets and theres accents on beat 1 and 3....now hopefully this isnt an actual hybrid already...lol

I think we already had a thread on this... anyway, here's the Inverted Invert:

R (r)l L (l)R

Eighth notes.

I think it's the hardest rudiment, personally. Obviously, you can add chesses and *beep* to make it harder, but I prefer simplicity.

Ok, guys, here's the big one. This one is gonna revolutionize drumming. It's called the "double stop". What it is, is you take both sticks, and play the drum with both sticks at the exact same time.
There's no way around reality, and there's no way to fix things that have already happened. It is what it is, we are what we are, and there is nothing more to life than that. Rule #9.

I don't know if I was the first to think of it, and I didn't name it, but it's pretty fun to play.

my instructor showed me the "steve 5's" (as i like to call them). they're essentially cheese 5's or flam 5's with the left hand accented the whole time.

there's a bunch of 16th note singles at the end that are hard because the around is difficult. i assume that's what he's talking about.

Idk if this is out yet but i've been playing this 4 awhile and havnt seen this anywhere. Sometimes I switch the accents and play them on diddles instead of the cheese flams. It's not that hard. Just fun to play sometimes.

(There surpose to be fivelets but idk how to seperate it in finale. I know I have to do something in the "tuplets" menu but I have no clue what to do)
