Orlando FL

Anyone in Orlando FL area? I'm coming down for some work training, basically a nerd sitting for a week with other nerds doing nerd things, but would be interested in jamming. PM me if you're interested.
Without a metronome its not drumming, its just hacking.

Our family will be in Orlando (Sanford), but with little time to drum no doubt.
I lived on an Air Force base in Orlando when I was in 7th and 8th grade and
we're going down to see the development that it has become. Some kind of
huge 5 village planned housing development. They closed the base many
years ago and the city of Orlando bought it I think.

Anyway, maybe some other time.

Have fun in the land of palm trees!

Just got back from Orlando. Man that place sure has changed since I lived there 42 years ago!
I've taken high school bands to Disney 8 times over the past 2 decades, but we never ventured
off the beaten path away from the Disney properties. Lots of people in the metro area and surrounding suburbs. Why is it that every major city seems to be on some kind of perpetual
road improvement plan that never ends? Never! It was that way when we lived in Nashville
and Atlanta, don't get me started about Atlanta. Anyway, hope you had a great trip and
maybe we'll meet and drum sometime in the future.

Thanks Dennis!

Yeah... I actually had a bit of freak out while I was there. I'm not comfortable in crowded places, and my locale (Orlando Convention Center/Pointe Orlando area) was anathema to my style. But I did get to rep out on the tennis court multiple times, which I'm gonna score as a minor win. All in all a decent trip. If anyone ever finds themselves in Michigan, feel free to hit me up!

I can't tell you how many Michigan tags I saw during our trip.
Guess they were getting away from the winter weather!
None of that in the land of the sun.

Are you asking schorsquatch or me? If you're asking me then no.
We left to return home last week. The weather was great as I
remembered central Florida. We stayed away from Daytona Beach
due to the spring breakers, but went by New Smyrna Beach.
Nice place, but the gulf beaches are so much prettier with the
white sand and the emerald green waters.

You made the PERFECT decision staying away from Daytona and going to New Smyrna it is a better beach in my opinion. Less crowded, cleaner, not a tourist zone.
