I would say don't try to limit yourself! These organizations aren't just looking for technique and style but will also be looking for your ability to adapt, your mental game, basic knowledge and fundamentals. All of these become stronger as you make yourself a more versatile percussionist. Also, don't be afraid to audition for the world class group right out of the gate. You'll learn a lot and be surprised by how well you might do.

Learning as many styles of drumming as you can will help you determine (FOR YOURSELF) the "best" technique for whatever it is you are playing.

Thank you very much, that's what I thought, just wanted to confirm from people who have marched any of these programs.

It is similar, and yes CWP is right foot first
George Mason University 17
Cadets Winter Percussion 14,15,16
Carolina Crown 15,16
Cadets2 12,13,14
Rhythm X 11, 12
Blue Stars 2010
United Percussion 09, 10
Reading Buccaneers 2009
University of Delaware 08, 09, 10

I'm here because I like talking about drums...my opinions don't reflect any of the above ensembles.
