My line tapes their sticks at the top, leaves where the hands are placed clear, and then tapes the rest of the way down. I like it that way the best.

wouldn't putting tape on only the top portion of the sticks add an uneven amount of weight? Correct me if i'm wrong. It might seem silly, but it could change the distribution on the stick.

I prefer taping it all with the exception of the bottom where you hold the sticks. No one wants that sweaty tape on their hands D: plus i seem to be cursed since twice i've taped my sticks all the way and twice I got cut and bled....tapecut?

Some lines only tape down like 4 inches..only barely covering the shot zone. Sticks like that feel really really unbalanced to me. I tape to about an inch..maybe inch and a half above the fulcrum..this adds an even amount of weight to the whole top portion of the stick and right at everything past the fulcrum (which is the only weight you're really working with).

When I tape my Hardimons I like to tape the 1/3 method. Also known as the Santa Clara style. It protects just the right amount. It feels great on those to me, and lets me know if I'm hitting my shots correctly.

for me it really just depends on the stick. i usually only tape my i.p. sticks half way up because i like the feel of the wood, but usually tape vic firths all the way up because i find the finish on them harder to grip than tape.

A better idea would be to not waste tape on those and throw them in the trash

I'm just going to put out there that nobody knows and or cares what "BD/SCV tape style" is. put tape on the stick and be done.

I used to tape my sticks high school style, but then I realized saxophone style was much more effective. Vertical, 2.61 inches from the tip. That got old, moved onto PSG (percussion scholastic galactic) style. Much more effective. You just put tape on the butt, just like .67 cm worth. It adds weight. That got old, realized bagpipe style is the way to go. You tape your sticks together, that way you can swing them like nunchucks. Note: I'm currently undefeated in nunchuck drumming, and I marched center for my elementary school.

kyle I tape my sticks elf jedi paladin sayian style, that way when the ballad hits i get a +10 boost to mana and +8% diddle quality at the expense of -2% sticks out velocity

When I tape my sticks I use a dexterity build. I sacrifice a bit of volume but my dps (diddles per second) is through the roof. Then I compensate a little for the lack of power with a German Grip Form.

I go for the charisma build, personally. That way, all my vocals cut and are heard.
