Old school Real Feel with a laminate on the black side is a great choice. Soft side for when you have to be quiet and the hard side with laminate for when you wanna hear yourself getting good.

Just like owning a bunch of guitars doesn't make you a rock star. But you certainly don't want to keep the same crappy beginner guitar all your life. With pads, you buy different pads for different feels and volumes, not magical skillz power

I have the vic firth doubled 12 inch pad, that is my first pad. i started drumming about 4 months ago, and im loving it. Do you guys think this pad is a good stater pad?

Any pad is a good starter pad.

I have a Slimpad. I've had it for 5 or 6 years, and it's really the only pad I like.
