I know *insert corps here* is/are using pieces of wood that are anywhere between 16.8-17 inches long, pitch paired, tapered the same, and have the same bead. Oh, and they are most likely stamped with some marking indicating who produced the stick and which drum guy's stick it is.

Am I wrong?

And is anyone using Vater because they have some SICK sticks now for marching applications....

Do the Cavies still use Mike McIntosh's or did they switch to Jim Casellas?

I actually heard this past season they were using Pro-Mark System Blue DC-52s. And after the switch, they won a drum trophy. Coincidence? I think not.

They also tend to use the Promark Rubber sticks.

The Bluecoats, I read somewhere that they used the IP Tim Fairbanks in 2011. Yea Casellas are right I think, as far as until 2011 goes.

Can we get a thread going about which corps use which sticks? I'm pretty sure Cadets use the Vic Firth signature Tom Aungst sticks

STICKS AS OF 2010 SEASON

The Academy - Vic Firth Ralph Hardimon

Blue Devils - Pro Mark DC-50

Blue Knights - Vic Firth VF MS-3

Blue Stars - Vic Firth Tom Aungst

Bluecoats - Innovative Percussion FS-JC

Boston Crusaders -Vic Firth Ralph Hardimon

The Cadets - Vic Firth McNutt

Carolina Crown - Vic Firth Beddis

Cascades - ?

The Cavaliers - Innovative Percussion FS-MM

Colts - ?

Crossmen - Innovative Percussion FS-PR2

Glassmen - Innovative Percussion FS-PR

Jersey Surf - Vic Firth Ralph Hardimon

Madison Scouts - Vic Firth Thom Hannum

Pacific Crest - Vic Firth Ralph Hardimon

Phantom Regiment - Innovative Percussion FS-PR2

Pioneer - ?

Santa Clara Vanguard - Vic Firth Murray Gusseck

Spirit - Innovative Percussion FS-SG

Teal Sound - Pro Mark Promark DC-50

Troopers - Innovative Percussion FS-2

MOD EDIT
I created a running list of all the World Class corps. The groups with question marks next to their name means that it cannot be confirmed what exactly the corps is using at the time. Once it can be confirmed, I will add the stick to the list.

Does SCV really use Vic? I would've though they use IP Paul Rennick sticks

Keep in mind that list was made back when Murray still worked with SCV, it says right at the top that was as of the 2010 season. They use Rennicks now, the PR-2's. As a matter of fact, a lot of the entries on that list have probably changed. There have been a lot of staffing changes, which would likely mean stick changes too.

Boston Crusaders use McNutts now, Cadets are back to the Aungsts, SCV obviously uses Rennicks, and I'm pretty sure Troopers use Rennicks too now.

As of now, SCV uses the Innovative FS-PR2's (as well as the TS-PR mallets/sticks for tenors and the Sandi Rennick keyboard mallets, they're all Rennick lol) and Crossmen use the FS-1's now
