Trying out for an Open Class corp.

Posted: Fri Dec 02, 2016 10:21 am

I'm planning on trying for the Louisiana Stars (Snare) in January. I have a few questions before hand though

1. How many people should I expect at this camp?
2. There is a solo I need to do, I was thinking about doing the Blue Stars 2011 Feature from the transcriptions, would that be a bad idea?
3. When they say learn the entire packet, do they mean memorize, or be able to run though it fluently while looking at it?

How many people to expect depends on the corps, but for open class I probably wouldn't expect an overwhelming number of people.

You can do any solo you want as long as you can play it well.

Again, what they expect as to "learning" the packet varies from corps to corps, but it never hurts to memorize it if you can
