Possibitly of marching WGI with little marching drill exp?

Posted: Wed Jun 08, 2016 8:40 pm

I am thinking of trying out for a WGI corps this year. I have some pretty decent/good chops but that’s not what I am worried about the thing that worries me is my marching drill experience. My high school doesn’t have the best marching band program out there, Very basic stuff left haste right haste etc(excellent symphonic band though:D ). So I am worried that if I do make a corps I am going to have a really hard time with the marching aspect. In a perfect world were I had the chops and everything would my lack of marching drill experience be a problem. Thanks

They'll teach you how to march and move and dance.
It really depends on if you wanna do Mystique-level, or an open class group like Q2

I'm that guy who says he'll try out for drum corps next year and never does.
But I'm totally gonna try to march Alliance this summer.
