SO, if it's not common knowledge, we just had 5 snare, 1 tenor, and all 5 bass age out of the battery at Regiment. So, everyone should come audition in the winter :D it's the hardest I've ever had to work in a drumline, but obviously it was worth it based on our placement at finals. The corps is great, and Shane's design is pretty sick. We also had a lot of guest instruction:

Dr. Eric Willie - http://orgs.tntech.edu/percussionstudio ... illie.html
Dr. John Wooton - http://www.vicfirth.com/artists/wooton.php
Bret Kuhn - http://www.innovativepercussion.com/pag ... .asp?id=10

Message me if you want to ask any further questions, but I would highly recommend that anyone that wants the summer of a lifetime go audition for Regiment.

Been busting my ass for this the past two years. I'll definitely be there.

Phantom is my dream corps and 5 snares are aging out? If I can find a ride I will definitely be auditioning for them next year. Probably just gonna audition for the experience though, just one camp with Gwaltney is like a dream for me!

Marching Phantom is my biggest dream but money and travel distance is what's holding me back... Florida is a long way from Illinois.. I age-out in 2016 so I have time I guess.. would love to play quads, but heck I would pick up a baritone just to be in Phantom. lol

Would love to know what the auditions are like..?

Fixed it for ya. They used to only march euphs. And yeah, I feel ya on the Florida thing. I want to audition there but I'm going to college in Daytona Beach so I don't know how well that would work out.

I'm probably gonna carpool with my friend who plays bass drum since she heard that all 5 basses are aging out. I mean, its pretty far away from North Carolina but not as far away as i could be. I've decided that now I am definitely going! Thanks for the post!

I was talking to one of Phantom's trumpets when they came through my town for a few days before Allentown and he told me about all the bass age-outs. Too good to be true. If only I wasn't so far away. Definitely hoping to find a way though.

Hey! Thank you for posting this! Are there any ageouts in the front?
