I love the sound of SCV 2001-2002 and BD 2002. It sounds so wet, high, and crisp. Good stuff.

SCV 08 Tenors
Phantom 07 Tenors and 07 and 08 Snares (MAD WET)
Bluecoats 08 Snares (MAD CRISPY)
That's all I can think of right now.
BD had some awesome tuning while Roger was snare tech over there. Don't dig their current tuning scheme. I would love to know how Rennick gets so much snare response from the Falams II bottoms. And Bluecoats repping that Evans, haha. EVANS RULES!
SCV 08 Tenors, those coated heads give awesome tone and warmth.
Oh yeah, can't forget about BD 06's super spocks

I concur. I thought the tuning of the Pearl drums (Especially Tenors) that year were THE best tuned drums of DCI 07.trophyhead wrote:or just phantom with pearls. i mean, don't get me wrong, i like dynasty. and paul rennick can make any drum sound amazing. but even though they sounded good this year (still sounded edgy) they didn't have the warmth they did with the pearls.

bro he changed the argument, anyone can see that. while phantom's line tore up BD's this year, this has nothing to do with the issue at hand.vivi767 wrote:I concurrudlka89 wrote:no.vivi767 wrote: pwnt!

I know what you mean.doublebassheeltoe wrote:Dude, Devs might tune the line well, but Phantom tunes the line well while tuning to the horn line.

07-08 pit (mallets)
08-09 center tenors
