Flamnambulous

Posted: Sun Mar 23, 2014 6:05 pm

Has anyone taken a shot at it? I'm starting at 80bpm and trying to slowly work my way up to 120bpm. Does anyone have any tips for keep those flams (especially some of those cheeses) low and clean?

The hardest part of the whole thing are the inverted flam taps. I can kinda play it slow. Just found it yesterday and posted it on the ******* page lol. Good luck, you're gonna need it.

I'm that guy who says he'll try out for drum corps next year and never does.
But I'm totally gonna try to march Alliance this summer.

I would recommend going back to your basics with flam development and grace-note control before attempting ‘Flamnambulous’. That is an incredibly difficult composition to execute with quality and I believe the fundamental issue is not tempo; rather, flam development. Go back and work on your flams, flam taps, inverted flam taps; etc. That way you do not have to focus on tempo as that will come from your development of your flam control.
