Flammables - Exercise by Me

Posted: Tue Sep 02, 2008 10:12 pm

This is an exercise that I wrote a long time ago, and frankly, I was surprised when I found it because it's way better than anything I wrote back then, in my opinion. But yeah, it's just your basic flam exercise with a nice groove to it.

Note: Stickings in Section B are the same as Section A.

Let me know what you think.

It's a great exercise, looks like fun too. I'm having a hard time playing it though. Flams are my nemesis ;(

I don't think that's actually the one I was thinking of haha. I think the one I saw was in some college audition packet or something but like you said before its probably a common name. I know someone on here had an exercise named flammable. I think you can find it if you search for "flamming bag of poo".

Ha, there probably is an exercise called that. Drummers have exhausted most of the flam puns I can think of by now. I didn't really think about it, though.

Only 110? =P I'm just kidding, it's a nice exercise to work on different flam rudiments. Cool stuff ;)

The original Flammables ex was written by Fred Sanford in I think the 70's. It was later updated by Dave Dilullo in the late 80's.
