Grid Generator apps

Hello Group.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Brad Halls, and I am a percussionist and software developer from Waterford, MI (a northern suburb of Detroit).

Around November of last year I was chatting with Kevin Troyanos over on Grid University, and we starting talking about the idea of grid generator programs. This got me geeked up enough about the idea that I decided to start working on it. After a few months of hacking off and on, I completed a grid generator framework, and four example applications.

Ryan Wold has been kind enough to host these applications in the "virtual practice pad" area of snarescience.com. Here is a link:

Ah it's so exciting to see this stuff. I really dig it. I know that this is probably still in a sorta developmental stage but there are a few things that came to mind that I would want to see: double accents, a backwards option, an ability to choose which partial the stationary thing is going to be on, more tempi, and lastly maybe a more modern marching snare sound. But like I said, I know this isn't finished. I also realize that it probably takes a lot of time to write everything out and make new audio files and that the list of things you could do to a grid is endless.
