Practice Routine: Eights Tempo Ladder

Eights Tempo Ladder

Description:

Eight on a hand where each rep changes tempo as follows:
+20 bpm, -10 bpm, +20 bpm, -10 bpm, etc...
This will improve your ability to quickly lock in new tempos.

Routine Steps:
  1. eights-120, 1 reps
  2. eights-140, 1 reps
  3. eights-130, 1 reps
  4. eights-150, 1 reps
  5. eights-140, 1 reps
  6. eights-160, 1 reps
  7. eights-150, 1 reps
  8. eights-170, 1 reps
  9. eights-160, 1 reps
  10. eights-180, 1 reps
  11. eights-170, 1 reps
  12. eights-190, 1 reps
  13. eights-180, 1 reps
  14. eights-200, 1 reps

Total Routine Time: 00:03:13

try doing at least 2 reps of each if not more. it is a good idea to know the basic tempos pretty much by heart. the more reps, the better off. i hate playing 8's but it makes me better. also make sure to do all different heights. maybe 1 rep of every height with every tempo.
