Yeah I was going to a community college to get my gen eds out of the way. Then I was going to transfer to Missouri State for music ed. I regret that I went to school in the fall because now I'm not in school and I'm in debt and I can't find a job. So I'm hoping once I do find a job, I will go back to school. I'm currently looking at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. They have a really good music program/percussion studio so hopefully things will go smoothly.

WallsDZ wrote:*beep*, not many science majors here.

I go to the University of Texas at Austin and am majoring in chemistry.

I'm doing a lot of research stuff so we'll see where that takes me. When I graduate a year and a half from now I might go into grad school somewhere to be a slave to the powers that be, or peace corps, or just get a job, or maybe join the Air Force and get my butt in shape to try and become a P.J. I think saving lives for a living would be the most gratifying thing in the world.

Gosh, now that I think about it, I really don't know what I want to do with my life.
Hi myself! I'm majoring in psychology and have no idea what to do with it. I'm thinking of going into med school after I get my degree and do residency in psychiatry but that's just a tentative thought. Otherwise I'd get my masters in psych, and then come out having no idea what to do. So woohoo!

I majored in math. For you guys out there considering majors... really think about what the value of your degree will be once you graduate. Everyone pays the same price for tuition, but some majors are more sought after/valuable than others once you're finished and you're looking for a job in the 'real world'.

Think STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Those areas will help you get a (well-paying) job quickly after graduation... which is definitely a good thing if you're taking out any sort of student loans.

Haha no one tells you this before you get into college. but it's true. all that "following your dream" stuff doesn't really apply when it entails you getting a degree that won't really do anything for you.

dude, following your dreams and doing something you like is way more fulfilling than doing something just for money.

There is nothing wrong with following your dreams, and you should always do what you love. But... you can't always go back to school.

I've been thinking about a history minor. I really love history and if music doesn't work out, I can always be a history teacher.

Don't quote me on this, but I think you'd need to knockout a few other teaching related classes/a few more history classes if you wanted to do that.

Mechanical Engineering.. I'm not great at math though so I'm really doubting myself about it. It's definitely something I want to do though and it's the only major besides music that I have even the slightest interest in.

I'm between majoring in some combination of physics and engineering (with the goal of working at NASA) or majoring in architecture.

I will be majoring in English at San Diego State University! Super excited. My career goal for now is to become an English teacher for high school. A lot of people laugh or ook at me crazy when I say I want to, but honestly it's the subject I love studying the most and I want to be able to help out students just as my teachers had helped me over the years.

That doesn't seem like a complimenting major

I'm interested in computer science and music, whichever one isn't my major in is the minor.
I don't have a dream college or anything, just any decent school that doesn't cost a whole lot. If I don't get within about 3-6K being left due to the money in scholarships I'm gonna end up doing two years of CC then transferring.
