When ther is not a Indoor Precussion ensamble at your school that is your chance to try a sport of do Jazz Band to keep you occupied. if you not a sports type person or your not into jazz, auditon for a WGI group. if that dosen't workout, practice and practice and get ready for the next year. :)

You're pretty much screwed then.

I'm glad we made the MOTM choice easy this time around
I play and teach music (sometimes even band music!)

I work in music tech and licensing.

Music is an art and positive energy.

Pretty sure the correct answer is drive up to 10 hours away one way to an independent group and get good. If its over 10, then youre just being silly. 8 hours away is like a walk in the park. Duh.

You could talk to other directors about auditioning for their group too, I know some people who did that for fall and winter this year

Yeah, I don't have indoor. My band director is black and marched with several historically black colleges amd he thinks corps style is dumb. The only thing I have to practice for is quarter notes next marching season =\

Nope, there's still plenty to practice for. Go catch on with your local indie Indoor Line when auditions come around next year. I was slow developing as a drummer because I limited my practice to what my high school played.
