Having Trouble keeping the beads in the center

Posted: Mon Sep 19, 2016 9:40 am

How do I practice playing consistently in the center on a tilted snare? Any technique fixes that would help? My beads always seem to be a little far apart. However at my set position I keep them close together (I'm pretty sure), but as I start playing, they wobble. Advice?

Keeping beads in the center can be helped with slow, controlled stroke practice, focusing on one stroke at a time and building consistency and tempos slowly but surely. You can place tape or something on a practice pad so that you'll know when you're not in the center. Beyond that, it just comes with time
