We use the American Drum Blackjack mallets on our HS Line. I guess they were pretty good but I've never used anything else to compare them, too.

Love the Promark Optimas and Innovative FBXs equally. The frontward weight makes them both feel absolutely heavenly. The Vic Firths feel too light towards the front for my taste. I hope this is a survey for curiosity as opposed to deciding what to pick though, as it's all personal preference.

Love the Vic Firth MBHs, but the Innovative FBXs are also good.

I prefer the ProMark Optima series to everything else, but the IP FBX is definitely a solid second place that I wouldn't complain about using any day of the week.
